Assignments
Each cadet is required to learn the Chain-Of-Command and the Cadet Creed! This information is posted on the ZHS JROTC Web.
Each week the "general" plan is:
MONDAY - Instruction on Monday will consist of both class room instruction and drill field instruction pertaining to leadership and includes a Leadership lab phase for student practice, and instructor observation, critique, and evaluation.
TUESDAY - Allocated to class room exercises, lectures, discussions, demonstrations and guest speakers.
WEDNESDAY - Uniform Inspection; All cadets are required to wear their Uniform each Wednesday, unless exempted by their instructor. There is a grade (100pts) for each inspection.
THURSDAY - Allocated to class room exercises, lectures, discussions, demonstrations and guest speakers.
FRIDAY - Cadet Challenge events and athletics. Cadets are tested on the 5 events in the Cadet Challenge Program. Each event is a graded event based upon the cadets effort , not a predetermined standard. These events include the: 1 mile run, pull-ups (male)/flex-arm hang (female), shuttle run and sit-ups. The top 10 male and top 10 female cadets are given an opportunity to join the battalion Competition Cadet Challenge Team based upon their performance on these test.
