Text Box: The courses are very Hands-On.  Each class will build one canoe from start to finish.  The goal is to give each student enough information and confidence to then build their own canoe.  Each course lasts 5 to 7 weeks meeting, about twice a week.  No woodworking experience is required.

A unique business in Oak Ridge, TN.  Woodworkers and those who want to become woodworkers now have a place to enjoy their craft without investing lots of money and space for the needed equipment.  Buying an annual membership gives you the resources to complete those projects that you used to just dream about. 

Classes are available to the public for those that want to learn everything from scroll saw patterns to furniture making.  The shop is staffed by experienced woodworkers ready to help you with every step of your projects.  Once you are comfortable with a given procedure they will let you fly on your own until you need help again. 

Members can bring their own wood and supplies or they can purchase much of what is needed right there in the shop store.  The relaxed atmosphere makes Your Wood Shop, Inc. a great place to spend some time away from the rat race.
