The Counselor in Training (CIT) program is for those individuals who have completed the 10th grade and will build on the skills learned as an L.I.T.with additional emphasis on understanding children and their behavior, working with groups of campers and developing further leadership skills. This two-week long program will aslo give each participant a hands-on learning experience, where the CIT will be placed in a cabin suring the second week working with the cabin's counselros and campers. At the end of the two weeks, all CITs will be given a written evaluation, at which time they may be asked to saty on for additional weeks to continue as a valuable part of the team. Completion of the two-week training does not insure being asked to stay for additional weeks.

This program is initially by invitation only for individuals who have completed the L.I.T. program. Each hopeful will go through the application and interview process just as a normal staff memeber would. Those completing the CIT program will have the opportunity to apply for positions as Junior Counselors the following summer.
