Wisdom is here portrayed as the wise old woman. The hen and chicks recall Jesus's lament over Jerusalem. The colors, materials, figures and design are all used to portray Wisdom in both new and traditional symbols and to evoke an expanded iconography of imagery of God. In this work, besides the figures, the antique buttons in the fringe recall jewels as a symbol of Wisdom. Collage and embroidery. 30" x 54".
