THE DESCENDENTS OF JACOB'S AND MARGARET'S
CHILDREN
JOHN, MARGARET (HOLEMAN), DAVID, JACOB, GEORGE, AND
ELIZABETH (NALL, PURDY)
AND MARY'S SON, GEORGE WALES
Jacob Sigler and Margaret moved with their family from Loudoun
County, Virginia, to Iredell County, North Carolina, during the last part of the
1700's. Then John, Jacob Sigler and Margaret's son, moved to
Robertson County, Tennessee. John's wife and children, Mary's son,
George, and another five of the ten children of Jacob Sigler and Margaret
moved into the basin of the Tradewater River in Western Kentucky during the
first two decades of the 1800's. The Tradewater River marks parts of the
boundaries of the Kentucky counties Union, Webster, Hopkins, Caldwell, and
Crittenden and originates in Christian County, Kentucky.

The
"Children of the Tradewater" have lived in Western Kentucky for almost
two centuries and some of the descendants of the "Children of the
Tradewater" were reunited in Princeton, Kentucky, on May 20, 2000
2000, and in Henderson, Kentucky, on June
22, 2002 2002. The next reunion is
being planned for 2004 2004. Contact

Although we have not had non-Tradewater descendants attending
our reunions, all descendants of Jacob Sigler and Margaret of Virginia and North
Carolina are welcome at our reunions. Other children of Jacob Sigler and Margaret are buried in
Grainger County, Tennessee, (Phillip), Champaign County, Illinois,
(Catherine Bucy (Busey)) and Bartholomew County, Indiana, (Mary Wales).
Another son, Laurence, was last known to have lived in North Carolina.

County, Indiana.
