NEXT MEETING:

PALMSRPING WATCH IS AN OFFICIAL CRIMEWATCH -

We did it! Out of 237 homes in our Crime Watch area, 125 showed up to register on our Sign-up Day, making us an official Crime Watch. Signs should go up soon throughout our crime watch area. Now the work begins, we must keep our eyes and ears open and work with the police to keep cime down in our communicty. If you see anything suspicious in our neighborhood, pick up the phone and call 911. Let us all look out for one another and make our community a safer place.

OUR NEXT COMMUNICTY MEETING WILL BE -
Thursday evening May 23rd, at 7:30 at Saint Luke Methodist Church on Shamrock. Please mark your calendar and plant to be present !!!!

Police and community must keep doing what works!!!! In a recent article in The Charlotte Observer, the chief of police stated that "partnerships between police and citizens have been crucial in lowering crime rates". It was also noted that economic downturns as we have experienced send more citizens into desperate circumstances and crime usually increases!!!

VACATION TIME IS UPON US..
With summer coming we will have to be on the lookout to keep the children in our communicty safe. Please slow down when driving through the neighborhood. Also, be on the lookout for anything that looks suspicious (that might put our kids in danger). This will be a good time to pay special attention to our neighborhood park each and every time you drive by. Call 911 immediately should you see anything that might need reporting. Also, be on the lookout for kids who look like they may be looking to get into trouble. Many of our break-ins have been older teens walking through our neighborhoods. It is very importatn to notify your neighbors when you are going on vacation so they can keep an eye on your property. Stop your papers and have someone get your mail daily. School is out June 4th and will start back on August 19th...

SLOW DOWN, the child you save may be one of our own!!!!!!

Charlotte-Meck School Calendar:
May 27th Memorial Day / Teacher workday
June 4th Last Day of School

Help prevent Truancy and Crime by reporting Studentwho should be in school to 911. It is suspected that most of our break-ins have been by students skippin school. Call and report them if you see them on the street when they should be in school. Tell the dispatcher that you do not want to see the officer and they will not stop at your house, that way the students will have no idea who reported them.
