Help prevent Truancy and Crime by reporting Studentwho should be in school to 911. It is suspected that most of our break-ins have been by students skippin school. Call and report them if you see them on the street when they should be in school. Tell the dispatcher that you do not want to see the officer and they will not stop at your house, that way the students will have no idea who reported them.

CRIME WATCH NEEDS TO EXPAND:
We have had interest from , Brixton Ct., Harrow Pl., Connecticut Ave, Hilliard, Jeff, and Airlie  concerning our Crime Watch Program. If we are to take these streets in, we will need a majority of the individuals living on these streets to participate and we need to identify block captains. Please, if you live on these streets make every effort to attend our next meeting!!!!!

Presentation to be made to Country Club Heights Neighborhood Association:
A presentation will be made to the next Country Club Heights Home Association Meeting, January 24th at St. Luke Methodist church, to inform our larger community what we are doing to fight crime. We are hoping that our efforts will grow.

Neighbors and Police are reporting more problems in Shamrock Neighborhood Park. There have been recent problems, of prostitution, drug deals and people carrying firearms in the park. We must all watch this area!! Many of our Kids play in this park and we must keep them safe. Call 911 if you see anything suspicion!!!!

If you have question about our neighborhood crime watch, or have a concern, you cann call your block captain or officers and they will try to address the problem. If you are willing to help by serving as a block captain on a street or blcok where we need one, please call David at (704)-537-2945. Block captains are to help with communications and concerns concerning their block assignment, help to distribute newsletters, information and help officers in planning successful strategy to combat crime in our neighborhood.

Block Captian Information

An electric pencil is available for engraving your NC Driver's License Number on valuables   like TV's, computers, and other appliances that might be stolen. Call David Witt   to borrow the engraver. This is encouraged in order to help identify items if they  : are stolen.

Remember to cut outdoor bushes low below window lines so they are not cover than an   could hide behind while trying to get into your home.

Homes with security systems are less likely to be successfully robbed. Usually intruders   when the system alarm sounds.

Notify trusted neighbors when you are going out of town(so they will watch your home   more carefully in your absence), stop papers and mail or have a neighbor pick them   up for you. Accumulating mail and newspapers are a sign to burglars that no one is home and   makes the house a target for crime.

Our goal is to set a date in March for Community sign-up so we can offically start   our Community Watch! Watch for Information!
