- Volume turned down on speakers
- MIDI volume turned down in system mixer
- Wrong MIDI device selected (such as selecting an external MIDI device,
like MPU-401, but not actually having an external MIDI synth in the system)
- MIDI setup problem on the user's machine (either the drivers or the MIDI
Mapper)
- MIDI device in use by more than one program
- In NWC, using device ports other than the first (in Staff Properties |
Play back device) can yield silence on other user's computers
