How It all Started
A good friend of mine named Wayne Fugitt has been
developing a control system for years to grow things this way. His system
uses air temperature, humidity, sunlight, and time of day to automatically
feed his garden. My system only uses simple "on" "off" commands from the
printer port of a computer. I have to set the times manually and change
them as the temperature and size of the plants increases. Below is my first
system which is gravity fed using a 30 gal. trash can fitted with a modified
water valve from an old dishwasher.
