This year I have 28 tomatoes planted. I have 24 Better Boys, 2 Cherry 100's and 2 Goliaths. I also have Peppers, Greenbeans, Squash, Zucchini and Okra. The Squash, Zucchini and Greenbeans are in my raised beds.  I also have 22 bags with Purple Hull Peas planted. There are 2 hills in each bag. Everything was set out or planted on 4/20/01. I have not changed my system from last year. (If it ain't broke don't fix it.) I did build some filters for my barell's to stop trash from stopping up the holes in the pipes beside my plants. If one hole stops up on a tomato, it will be wilted before the day is over. Below is the garden 30 days later.

I am still using "Total Grow" from Winsboro, La. I think this fertilizer is really hard to beat. Below is pictures of my tomatoes, squash and greenbeans on 5/25/01.

One of the things I look forward to every year is cherry tomatoes. I plant Sweet 100's because they tast great and they make more than you can eat. These plants really like Total Grow. I have one cluster that has forked 3 times. Wayne Fugitt had one a few years ago that forked 4 times and had about 20 tomatoes on each fork. Below is a picture of a cluster that hasn't forked but has 20 tomatoes on it. I will take a picture of my 3 forked cluster when it is larger.

I have added one item to my garden this year that will make thing a lot eaiser for me. I have been using two 60 gal. drums connected together for my  tomato nutrients. When these plants are in full production they will use about 120 gal. in two and one half days. I found a used 250 gal. plastic tank that is perfect for my garden. Below is a picture of the tank.
