Toy Planes and Sami Snake
All the inserts from organic gardening went to building paper airplanes
that flew around our home. Sami Snake was built from an insert from a tissue
box, the tear out insert looked like a mouth. I took one of my old work
socks and inserted the cardboard mouth part. Laurel took a little red yarn
and put it on Sami's head, a couple of buttons finished the task.
I painted a race track for Eli and his hot wheels on a piece of
press board. On one side the track and on the other side I painted some
sixties art. I think it is still under his bed. It makes a good temporary
table. I painted Laurel a cribbage board, it looked really nice, somewhere
along the line it got trashed. I painted the alphabet for the kids, I did
not get very far, I ran out of paint, they go put away and trashed.
Most of the stuff I did was useful and for a purpose, when we were
done the stuff got trashed.
Here is a picture of Allison
riding "Pokey Dennis" a horse she and Laurel created from and old sock,
felt, yarn and a broomstick. "Pokey Dennis" still resides
in the corner of her closet here at home.
