Who is behind The Sports Report?

Several people have played a major role in The Sports Report.

The primary contributors to this site are Fred Send, Bill Berghel, and Mark Berghel. Bill and Mark are also the authors of the ranking methodology.

No. There are more important things than sports - or sports rankings, for that matter.

The name "Bill Berghel" sounds familiar. Why?

If you're in computer science research, then you may be mistaking him for his uncle, Hal Berghel, who is a nationally-recognized ACM lecturer and computer science guru. If you're a lawyer, then you may be thinking of his father, Bob Berghel, who was widely considered to be the nation's top Railway Labor Act attorney prior to his retirement.

As for Bill, he has been ranking sports teams since 1978 and is a former sportswriter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. His day job is project management, and he is occasionally quoted in the media.

The name "Fred Send" sounds familiar. Why?
