When not busy writing crime fiction, Tom works in the world of training and education, wth an emphasis in e-learning and multimedia instruction. He is currently the Director of Online Course Design & Development at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he also holds a faculty appointment in the Worldwide Campus and teaches Technical Report Writing. He has also written and managed numerous multimedia programs for Fortune 500 companies, the federal government, and military.

Prior to that, Tom spent several years in film and television entertainment where he wrote a number of award-winning children’s television programs for producers such as Nickelodeon, the Disney Channel, and Anheuser Busch Entertainment. He has taught Digital Storytelling as an adjunct at Valencia Community College and Screenwriting at the Full Sail media school. He holds a PhD in Texts & Technology from the University of Central Florida.

Tom lives in Central Florida with his family.
