A few words about me--I am from the South, born and raised, and consider myself a Southern Gentlemen, polite and mostly restrained when politeness may not be enough. I like Southern food in all its unhealthiness, and I do, in fact, say "y'all." However, being from the South does not mean that I am slow, either slow-witted or slow-acting. We just seem lethargic because it conserves energy until it is needed. I am a technical writer/editor and soon-to-be project manager. I got tired of the Y2K bug at my old company and went my own way. Now I've a wonderful job at about the coolest place in the world (or at least in the Triangle). I used to teach college English, which included freshman composition and Shakespeare. I miss teaching a great deal, but until our culture decides our teachers are worth a respectful pay, a lot of my cohorts and I will choose to find another way to make a living. I vote in every election. I am a Virgo, and I am a Snake. I ask a lot of questions, which antagonizes some of the people around me, but I refuse to let their own unseeing and unasking condition keep me from growing. Here is a picture of me.
I think the following pages will actually tell you more about me than that paragraph.
