On Thursday, we went to Trafalgar Square and the
National Gallery. Again, I couldn't take pictures inside this museum, so no
Rembrandts, Michelangelos, Bronzinos, Raphaels, Cezannes, Monets, or anyone
else. Actually, we never made it past the year 1500 in the museum....

 |
| Actually
on Trafalgar Square. The fountains aren't running because they were cleaning
them out, probably in preparation for the big screen TVs they were setting
up for the World Cup game versus Brazil that was played on the next day. |
 |
| A
"minor" church (only when compared to Westminster and St. Pauls)
that ajoins Trafalgar Square is St. Martin-in-the-Fields. |
 |
| Trafalgar
Square is renowned for its pigeons, but we found a couple of different inhabitants
of the Square. |

 |
| A
really great picture of one of the lions around Trafalgar Square, looking
down Parliament Street at the tower which houses Big Ben. And some fellow
who really wanted to be in my picture. |
 |
| Trafalgar
Square from the porch of the National Gallery. The restaurant in the National
Gallery has a picture window that looks out over Trafalgar from the second
floor (err, first floor if you are counting English-wise). This picture
is really evocative of the City of London. |
