In a joint effort by NASA, the Air Force, and the Nelson Institute for Marine Research (NIMR), the remains of the Roswell UFO were rebuilt into a new craft capable of conventional travel using today’s technologies, plus alien technology to reach the stars.

Among the requirements were:

*      Travel on or under water at speeds up to 90 knots

*      Sustained hypersonic flight

*      Conventional space drive

*      Life support reserves for 2 weeks

*      Integration of alien Instantaneous Drive (even though the physics were only understood at a very high level)

A tall order. Boeing in Renton Washington won a secret competitive bid between the major aerospace manufacturers. Work started in 1992. Roll out in 1995. Initial tests completed 1996. Commissioned by NIMR 1997
