made alive in christ ephesian2

as for you, you were d e a d in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. all of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature[1] and following its desires and thoughts. like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. but because of his great love for us, god, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with christ even when we were d e a d in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved.

salvation is so simple! i mean the description of the process. we were d e a d. then we were made alive! it is a very simple thing to explain to another. "you are dead. would you like to be alive?"

trouble is, the person may not feel d e a d. maybe he just feels desperate. or maybe at the "end of his ropes."

this person may try psychology, cult practices, self-help books, a relationship with another human, sports, recreation, alcohol, drugs, and more to help. and there may be a period in which something does help a bit. but eventually, the same sense of purposelessness and despair will return.

i know. i have been there. all i needed was for the great spirit to get into my spirit and blow some breath of life! which he did! now everything is perfect . . . . ha! that is a laugh! everything is not perfect! but everything is different. everything has purpose and plan and order and, well, it just all makes sense now!

and there is life! and after serving him for so many years i have realized that he really does love me and he is the most faithful person i will ever meet.

it is all about being alive. are you? no insult here. i just want to know if you are truly alive (spiritually speaking). it is ok if you are not. it just isn't ok to stay that way. may i make a suggestion? try
