BIO: Since 1994, Phil Skinner has served as staff photographer and studio manager at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He is currently the chief fashion photographer also specializing in corporate portraits, illustrations and food photography. In 1996, he was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, won the National Association of Black Journalists Photo-Of-The-Year Award and the Best of Cox Award. He has covered a wide variety of major events such as presidential campaigns, hurricane Andrew, the Masters golf tournament and national breaking news. From 1983-94, he was a staff photographer at The Sun-Sentinal in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Previously, he served as staff photographer at The Boca Raton News and The Jupiter Journal in Jupiter, Fla. He began his career as a photojournalist at The Sarasota Herald Tribune in 1976.
