9-22-03 (later in the day after firmware changes)
All the 4x and 2.4x burns on ES0G are overall bad! but randomly get
a good and mostly bad!
im not saying switch to ES0C but I am! im going to test ES0E tommorrow!
ALL scans before today were burned on ES0G and read on ES0G.
I have done a ton of testing and i hope it helps fix the lateest version
of the firmware.

From my opinion just looking at the scans. TDK is the worst. They read
the worst for data and skip 50% of the time in dvd player as video. Ritek
are great as long as you burn at 2.4x The 4x burns are random at best,
but better than the TDK. The Verbatim reads great and plays great too
at 4x. The crazy part about this is that all the media is manufactured
by Ricoh 4x speed.
I do not think it is the Media(besides tdk) but i think we need a firmware update to fix these burn problems! Even the media with the Drive,which is ricoh burns just okay!

These tests have resulted in many coasters! Expensive ones at that! Im glad to finaly see a GOOD scan that is worth Burnning! I have had to reburn all the TDK and i might have to reburn some of those bad ritek!
Im hoping that the Verbatim on ES0C will burn just as good or better than the ritek! And it should they are the same manufacturer and DVD+R. The TDK were just the worst, which is every strange! Because all three were manufactured by ricoh and same speed!
