Service Planning

At one church  I worked at we used a planning spread sheet that looked like this. Feel free to use it or get ideas for your planning. What I’ve found that works best is to have a creative group plan the over all service flow and have one or two do the song selections for music.

  • Column A - Estimated time for the key elements
  • Column B - Each main element or event
  • Column C - Details on transitions, that tie events and elements together
  • Column E - G - Specific instructions for the Sound, Light and Video producers.

As you can see this speadsheet stored all our service formats week to week so we could always go back and see what we did.
