Carl D. and Deborah (Downing) Schultz

    U.S. Army - retired in 1988 due to injuries sustained in an auto accident Near Bamberg, Germany. (Fell asleep at the wheel while driving home from work - - - - a three day field exercise). Carl graduated Summa Cum Coed from Mississippi State University in 1986 - Political Science. Along with the usual college routine, he was active in the ATO fraternity. He is also a graduate of Meridian High School, where he was an All-Conference Football Center during his senior year. After graduating college Carl completed the Officers Basic Course (with honors) at Ft. Benning, Ga. and then went through Airborne School. He earned the Air Assault wings while still in college and attended Ranger School prior to his posting to Bamberg, Germany.  He was a platoon Leader with 'B'Co., 7^th Bn, 6^th IN Regiment when he was injured.
    True to Schultz form, he is unlucky in cards, but lucky in love.  He met Deborah Downing in 1999 and they were married in June of 2000. He now primarily writes poetry, paints and rides his 4-wheeled pedal cycle to wherever the mood takes him.  Deborah is a Medical Doctor specializing in Pediatrics and General Medicine.  She's Ok, if you can stand beautiful, intelligent women.
