Pickin Up the Pieces was formed in March 1997. We are blessed to always perform with a
live band. The group consists of Wayne
Brown, Janet Burroughs and Becky Monaghan on vocals. Our band includes Paul Jenkins (do-bro,
banjo and steel), Donald Roper (rhythm guitar) Janet Burroughs (keyboard),
Roger Kyle (bass) and Philip Roper (drums).
We count it an honor to have the ability to sing and play instruments
for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our number one priority is to spread the Word of God through this
ministry God has so richly blessed us with.
Through the years we have been blessed to see many souls saved through
our ministry and testimonies and it is that that keeps us pressing forward
for the Lord. We appreciate all the
prayers and support we are graciously given by many people who follow and
continually pray for us. It is our
prayer that God richly blesses each of you.

Pickin’ Up the Pieces has had the
privilege to sing with some of Southern Gospel music’s best since
beginning their ministry over 8 years ago.
We have opened for The Crabb Family, Paid in
Full, The Perrys, The Steeles
and The Sons Family.
Becky Monaghan (High Harmony)
Becky is one of the original members that began with Pickin’
Up the Pieces. She left for a couple
of years, but rejoined the group after realizing her God given talent was
needed with us to spread the Gospel.
She is truly blessed with a wonderful talent and loves to serve the
Lord through this ministry. She has been singing since the age of 3 years old
and is the mother of 2 girls, Dana and Courtney and a grandson, Dakota. Becky is the sister of Janet who sings the
alto and plays keyboard. Her favorite
group has been and still remains the Original Hinsons.
Janet Burroughs (Alto Vocals, Keyboard)
Janet is one of the original members who founded the group in 1996. She loves serving the Lord and is grateful
that He has provided such a wonderful ministry. Janet began singing at the age of 3 with
her sister Becky who had a Sunday afternoon program on WAMY in Amory Ms over
34 years ago. She has four children
and four grandchildren. Janet is
married to Ronnie Burroughs who operates the group sound system. Janet considers it a privilege to be able
to spread the gospel through this ministry.
Not only has she been blessed with a singing and piano talent but
through God’s blessings, she has written several songs that for the
group to perform.
Ronnie Burroughs
(Sound, Equipment)
Ronnie is another original member and founder who has been with the group since it started in 1996. He operates all of the sound equipment and
drives us to our concerts. He plays
enormous role in keeping things together in the group. Ronnie loves supporting this ministry in
any way the Lord allows him to. He
also supports his wife Janet, who sings and plays keyboard for the group.
They are blessed with four children and four grandchildren.
Wayne Brown (Lead Vocals)
Wayne is another original member and
founder who has been with the group since it was established in 1996. He has been singing and playing bass since
he was a little boy. Wayne is from Nettleton, MS and has been raised around the
southern gospel music industry. His
unique style and talent of singing has been compared to Kenny Hinson. He loves this ministry and the blessings
God gives through being able to spread the Word through song. Wayne was also called into the ministry two
years ago and speaks at different churches and church functions. Wayne is marred to Constance (Janet's
daughter) and they have a son, Ethan.
Paul Jenkins (Steel,
Banjo & Do-bro)
Paul Jenkins has been with the group over five years. He is a very talented musician and has
traveled around the US with his parents using his talent for
the Lord. His unique style of playing
has been compared to great artists such as Rabbit Easter. Many people are amazed at his many talents
in the music area. Although he plays
the Steel, Banjo and Do-bro for the group, he can play just about any
instrument made. He has been in gospel
music since a small boy. Paul is
responsible for most of the music arrangements for the group. He is marred to Tania and is the son of
Bobby and Barbara Jenkins of Golden, MS.
Donald Roper (Rhythm
Guitar)
Donald joined the group over five years ago and has a blessing since decided
to become a part of PICKING UP THE
PIECES. His commitment in serving the Lord through playing and
singing are an inspiration to everyone.
Donald not only plays the guitar, but also sings many of the great
southern gospel songs of old that many people request. He is married to Lillie and they have two
children Phillip and Betty and a granddaughter Layla.
Donald is the son of Paul and Shirley Roper and resides in Guntown, MS.
Roger Kyle (Bass
Guitar)
Roger has been with the group for over three years. He was formerly with GLORY ROAD SINGERS and has been playing the
bass, singing and playing the keyboard for years. He is a very talented musician and is a
dedicated member. He is a very good
musician who is faithful in serving the Lord with his talent. Roger is
married to Chrissy.
They have a son and daughter Lindsay and Reed and live in the Mooreville area.
Philip Roper (Drummer)
Philip is the newest member of Pickin’ Up the Pieces. He has been with the group for over two
years and is very dedicated in serving the Lord with his talent. He also is the drummer at the church he
attends. Philip is the son of Donald
who plays the guitar for the group. He
is married to C.J. and they have one daughter, Layla. He and C.J. are also a very talented
singers and sings during most of our breaks during our concerts. Philip is the son of Donald and Lillie
Roper of Guntown, MS.
