Boot Panel Removal

Rear Panel Alignment

Removing the side panels

Boot Light - Don't Forget it

Parts Bag - Use it

Rear Seat Rubber Plug

Buy extra panel clips if your feeling timid about yanking plastic panels off the wall.

- Remove the rubber seals from the door and boot areas that have the plastic panels. You do not have to remove the entire rubber seal. (other posts are great for this)

Note: boot rubbers have a tacky glue-like substance - it's OK

- Hook seatbelt around the middle latch. (gets it out of your way).

- Do Not loose parts - store parts in bags.

Boot Seal Removal

Then Remove the boot rear plastic panel

- Pry out the plastic inserts that secure the two lower pins then pry out the whole clip. - - Lift from the ends to a point where you can either slide the panel off of the holding clips or use some pulling/prying to release the entire panel from the three top clips. I remember this as being a little tricky.

- Remove the rubber seat latch cover (it pulls right out).

- Start at the mid mini door and give the bottom of the side panel a yank. The rear speakers do not come off with the panel. Move to the boot area and pop loose the panel there. Return to the mid mini spot to lift up-down then out. Repeat for the other side panel.

Note: disconnect the rear light/power outlet before running off to the storage area with that panel.

NOTE TO SELF - NEXT TIME - RECONNECT THE LIGHT/POWER OUTLET BEFORE REASSEMBLY.

It can be done after reassembly but is pain (I can attest to that fact).

Now that your Mini is totally naked it's time to go get someone

and show them what you've done to your new Mini.

Gasp !!!
