Floor extension (toe pan) installed and primer brushed
about in the non-weld areas. Note: I used weld through primer
where ever there was a weld to occur. I had to sand off the toe
pan area where it met the floor pan for welding. The dark red/brown
is Rustoleum rusty metal primer over ground metal. The white/pink
is the new metal primer by Rustoleum. The brushes went in the
freezer between coats. You can see the quart cans on the tunnel.
Another angle of the same shot. Note I drilled holes
in the sheet metal to "lap" weld the new floor pans
in the car. A "butt" weld is better but I have a flux
core wife feed MIG welder and found myself blowing holes in my
butt weld attempts. I trimmed more metal after drilling holes
so I had about 1/2" of overlap and ground all the rust out/used
plenty of weld through primer for the overlap.
