Well, it may look ugly with the burn marks and grind marks but it is in SOLID. Shot toward front of car, note the weld marks follow frame/support structure under the floor pan. By this time I had bought a new fluorescent shop light (top left) since the incandescent bulbs kept burning out when it got bumped. I must have went through 8 bulbs in one day while welding...I guess I should have moved it farther away from the welder :)

Back seat area.

Front floor pan showing floor extension and grind marks.

This closer shot (rear floor) shows some of the "Burning" the welder did to the metal. For heavens sake, "open a door and wear a respirator." Flux core welding is nasty. I bought a unit that can be upgraded to gas but my wallet is kind of flat.

This shot is a close up of the floor pan/extension junction. I used a combo of rosette welds and a bead at the junction. Kind of looks like this guys cheese slipped off the cracker for this work. Really, it is tight and the grinding smoothed it out nice. A flux core welder is kind of messy on sheet metal where you try to run a nice bead.

Front floor pan where it butts up to the inner rocker panel (note this shot is from the passenger side of car) , a wire brush and a grinder helped clean it up a lot.
