His education has been broad and comprehensive including the following Life Experiences: Two Trips to Israel and the Holy Land, Christian Education studies at Mercer University, Higher Education studies at Purdue University, Indiana University, Southern Technical Institute of Technology, Government service in Germany for the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Divisions of the United States Armed Forces Europe and Conus United States of America, founded The School of Church Music Center for Music Ministry and serving as Dean of Studies, Christian School Music Teacher, Eagle Scout and God and Country Awards, Georgia Governors Honors, Georgia Music Teachers Association, Who's Who in Georgia, Outstanding American in The South, Gospel Music Association Board of Directors Nomination, Society of Distinguished American High School Students National Awards Program, University of Georgia State Golden Olympics Committee, European Recreation Society, Armed Forces World Recreation Conference Speaker, Music Teacher to over 10,000 students worldwide, Composer of Hymns and Church Choral Anthems. His equivalent combinations of education and experience as it pertains to the qualification standards for U. S. Government work are Ph. D or equivalent doctoral degree in Music and Arts;
He gives music lessons and Master Classes in Savannah and in Hinesville, Georgia.
He made his debut singing over the radio at the age of four in 1951 and started piano lessons at 6.
He was proclaimed as nothing less than a child prodigy and has focused on music throughout his entire life and studied coronet and directing with great musicians such as Otis H. Saeter who played with John Philip Sousa.
He founded and directed The All-Europe Marching and Concert Band in Germany composed of active duty military, dependants, civilians and German Nationals and has received numerous awards from the United States Armed Forces Europe and the U.S.
He founded the T.O.P.S., Tops in Talent competition at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia and at Hahn Air Base in Germany for the Air Force and served as staging director for the Air Force Logistics Command Talent Showcase that toured all AFLC Bases in the United States. He formed two vocal groups that won First Place in the Air Force Worldwide Competition three years running.
He was selected as pianist, organist, music director and orchestra director in nine churches spanning seven denominations.
Then in 1993, the music stopped -- he became legally blind.
So this musician, composer and recording artist added a few more roles to his repertoire after repeated eye surgery to partially restore sight.
His compositions were scheduled to appear in two Chinese Hymnals in 2005 as announced by the Chinese Christian Literature Council in Hong Kong
And perhaps most importantly,
Music Teacher, Lecturer and Dean of Studies at The School of Church Music in Savannah that is helping smaller churches who can not afford to pay for a full-time musician.
He founded The Liberty County & Area Mass Choir in 2003 and serves as its director.
