Calhoun Conservatory of Music

The
Calhoun
1969
School of Music in Eastman
is first for area
The Calhoun School of Music in Eastman is the first
private school of music in the middle Georgia area, and has drawn interest from
other towns in this section.
At the present there are three teachers with plans
for expansion in the near future. Enrollment at present is 73 students in
classes of guitar, voice, piano, organ and music directing.
Ronald Calhoun, director of the school, says that
music today has become a large field of interest to many people, more so now
than even in years past. People are becoming more conscious of what they are
learning when they spend money for this type instruction.
