This is a picture of a  totally enclosed glass pyramid that has water, shells, algae and live shrimp inside.  It's called a biosphere, where everything needed to sustain life is in an enclosed atmosphere, like our Earth.

Our planet is a closed system in which living organisms thrive: a biosphere where nothing leaves or enters except sunlight.

This "Beach World TM"  is a miniature biosphere, encapsulating the fundamental workings of our own Earth.

Beach WorldTM was created by a Space Station engineer and two of the original Biosphere 2 crew members.  The creators of the Beach WorldTM have completed space experiments on the U.S. Shuttle and on board the Russian Space Station Mir with sealed closed ecosystems similar to the Beach WorldTM.

Inside Beach World TM, Hawaiian shrimp called Opae'ula (Oh-Pie-oola) live in a beach environment.  I never have to feed them or change the water.  It's the perfect pet! Nothing enters or leaves the container but light and heat-no food, air, water or waste.  The light causes the micro algae to produce the oxygen and food for the Opae'ula, which produce the carbon dioxide and nutrients needed for the algae to grow.  It's an ongoing cycle. Beach World TM is a product of Paragon Space Development Corporation. For more information visit:
