"Latta
Observer - There was born a child in Latta last week that has no doubt
more living parents than any other child in Dillon county or a least
more than any we know of not only in the county but the state.
The child mentioned is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Parham born last
week. It has two parents, four grandparents and four great
grandparents, all living and in good heath. We fail to recall another
child among our acquaintances who has as many living parents."

In
mentioning the death of Mr. C. H. Stanton week before last, the Herald
gave Mr. Stanton's name as "Neill J." when it should have been
"Cornelius H." The error was due to the fact that Mr. Stanton has
always been known as "Neill" and the Herald used the abbreviated name
as an easier means of identification.
