Heck, What Did I Do Today?
I woke up. I had some coffee while I watched something. It wasn't a movie. Whatever it was, it wasn't very memorable, and that's all I can really say about it. Wait...wait...it was Ghost In The Shell, alleged classic anime. It turned out to be mediocre and clearly aimed at the teen nerdboy, as, just like Heavy Metal, a few female nipples are used to try to distract you from the boredom where the tension should be. Yawn.
And then, I took a nap. Actually, I went upstairs and read about who won the 9 hr long standing challenge for Head of Household on Big Brother. Then I took a nap.
Alison called and said that Nina and her would be coming by soon and that lil neener was about to cork off. So, I took a quick shower and vacated the bedroomy area for kiddie napping. Wait, maybe it was then that I read about Big Brother. Heck, I don't know.
Down with the Sickness
Today, I do feel stronger than I have since Tuesday. Probably due to the steroid shot yesterday. But my cold, which was content to force me to sleep constantly, which I'm kind of still doing, decided to give me flu like symptoms earlier today. I hate the fluey body aches.
After Neener's nap, we all went by and took pictures of Alison's mom's new house which is now sheetrocked and has shingles. Pics are at my pbase site. Then we took Nina to Guadalajara for her first authentic Mexican food. As with the Taco Bell, she loved the refried beans. She also is very fond of beef, but didn't care for my chili relleno, mainly because she doesn't like cheese. She didn't make a mess at all, despite the fact that we forgot Cheerios, a bib, a baby spoon, something for her to drink. Heck, if we'd forgotten any more, we'd have left her at home.
Well, I've been awake for six hours. It's about time I either napped or just went to bed. And it's too late for napping.
Tomorrowday
I called my parent's house and my sister (from Atlanta) answered. I asked when we were coming over tomorrow. Kelley said that dinner would be at 6:30 but we were welcome to come over earlier. I said we'd be there around 3, as Nina goes to sleep around seven. Though Alison did keep Nina up late.
Oh, Yeah, Lawn Standing
I almost forgot one of my favorite things today. Alison mowed the lawn and I was left Ninasitting. And sat we did. We sat on the driveway when Alison mowed the front yard. We sat on the patio when Alison mowed the back yard. Nina didn't complain. If she hinted that she wasn't totally satisfied with sitting, we'd get up and I'd show her the wind chimes, or the wysteria, or we'd play with one of those fluffy caterpillary-like weeds, or a stick. It was a good time had by all. And it was after this that we all went out for Mexican food.
