I Can't Believe I'm About To Write About Michael Moore
But something is fishy here. Though Mike thinks he's the Rush Limbaugh of the Left, just as Al Franken does, I'm not so sure that the Left wants him representing him. A few weeks ago, Fox news did the odd and recommended that every American go see Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11. And we all know that Fox is Conservative, but they are encouraging people to see an Anti-Bush film. Well, then the more odd comes about, and the picture actually completes itself. Slate.com, the quite left but also well written MSN property, has written a totally scathing review of the film. They claim that Moore is full of lies.

Now, why would the left try to distance themselves from Moore and the right encourage you to see his movie? Because it is full of lies and will scare normal people away from the Democratic party. That's the motivation for both. Moore is a menace to the left. He's taken all the Bush hating arguments and presented them so rapid fire that the contradictions are so evident. Meanwhile, smarter conservatives want the public to see this and be disgusted by the left.

Read the review if you want to. Christopher Hitchens is a very smart leftie. And he gets my respect for that. (Also, Slate rocks, as it will say the unabashed truth about things when others wont...oddly, like Rush.)

Disclaimer: Nick would vote libertarian if it wasn't throwing his vote away, but you never see any Hawks in the libertarian party, so maybe not. But please, don't make laws we don't need. Dur.
