           Mercy Medicine Clinic is a free Christian clinic assisting Florence and Dillon County patients that do not receive Medicaid or Medicare and cannot afford to pay for private insurance. All consultations, treatment, and services rendered are done out of Christian love and at no charge to the patient. We provide life-sustaining medications to improve the quality of life for so many that are less fortunate. The clinic further cares for patients through referrals to participating specialists who provide more complex procedures, as well as outpatient surgeries, free of charge. We assume the cost of medications through pharmaceutical programs, donated samples from sales representatives, and a local pharmacy.

                    

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

          

 

           Mercy Medicine Clinic runs on “volunteer power” with only five paid employees. We have ten physicians that volunteer their services, along with 15 nurses, two Pharmacy Consultants, and a host of other volunteers. These people supply the clinic with the necessary expertise to serve the 3,000 plus indigent members of our community. MMC also receives donations that are used for payment of medications that are not provided through our Patient Assistance Programs (medication received from pharmaceutical suppliers).
