Mercy Medicine Clinic runs on “volunteer power” with only six paid employees: a Clinical Coordinator, three part-time RN’s (serving as two Co-Nurse Administrators and Pharmacy Coordinator), a Patient Assistance Coordinator and a Retinal Technician. We have ten physicians that volunteer their services, along with two Pharmacy Consultants, and a host of other volunteers. Our volunteers supply the clinic with the necessary expertise to serve the 3,000 plus indigent members of our community. New volunteers are always needed and welcome. We are seeking people who can offer intelligent, compassionate and nonjudgmental service to our clients; our clients are often medically indigent adults of diverse ethnicity. Our Volunteer Program provides opportunities for volunteers, clients, and staff to work together towards achieving our ultimate goal - ensuring that all members of our community have access to quality health care. |
