The R.C.I.A. Process
(The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Have you ever considered becoming Catholic?
What is The RCIA?
The RCIA is a process of discerning and ritualizing stages of conversion, leading to sacramental initiation through the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, and eucharist celebrated at the Easter Vigil, thus empowering men and women for lives of service, charity, and justice as witnesses to the reign of God.
From this experience of conversion (and conversion means a "turning" of the whole person, not just the intellect), one is empowered by the Spirit to proclaim the gift received: liberation and redemption in and through the person of Jesus, the Christ.
The RCIA is not a program, but a sacramental formation process that prepares individuals and communities for a particular way of life, with conversion at the heart of that way of life.

Adults who wish to learn more about the Catholic Faith, either in preparation to join the Church or to update their Faith are invited to attend the R.C.I.A. Process.

Through prayer, study, discussion and celebration, they journey in faith with other adults.

This process takes place on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm and culminates on the Easter weekend with a joyful welcoming celebration at the Easter Vigil.

Please see Father Tom, Sue Recktenwald, or Margee Joseph if you are interested in attending.
