In faith, we hold that God's will is that we find happiness in this world and the next. Yet, when terrible things happen to us or to our world, we too easily hold God responsible. Let us renew our faith in the generosity of God's love and forgiveness.
In the first Reading, God speaks words of comfort to the suffering. They are always surrounded by evidence of God's love and care.
In the second Reading, Paul reminds us of Christ's love for us. Because Christ gave His life for us, we are enabled to live for Him.
In the Gospel, Jesus miraculously calms a storm in response to the disciples' fear and still they do not know who He is. |

Director of Music Ministry
In mid-July our Director of Music Ministry, Jessica Mills, will be leaving us to further her career. We are grateful to Jessica for her hard work as keyboardist, cantor and director of our choir. Everyone will have the opportunity to say farewell to her at a reception to be held in her honor on Sunday, July 19.
As a result of this vacancy, a small search committee has been established by Fr. Dale [and chaired by Margee Joseph] to seek out candidates for the position of Director of Music. Fr. Dale will make the final choice should someone be recommended. It is our hope to secure someone by the first part of July. Please keep the committee and their work in your prayers. |
