Intermittent Power Seats

One reason for the seats not to work is a bad relay. If the drivers seat relay does not work, the passenger side power seat will not work either.

The relays are under each seat. It has to be pulled toward the rear and it can be hard to get to it…especially if you can’t raise the seat.

After replacing a relay, I had a second one go bad shortly after. It behaved like the first one. When I wiggled it some I could make it work.

I opened it up and there was a small crack in the solder between the prong and coil attachment.

I soldered it back on and it is working again.
