About : The Three Cities Group is an artist collective, but not in the traditional sense. There is no central location or organizing idealogy, but instead a committee of individuals who coordinate the creation of projects and the exhibitions that artists participate in. There is also no criteria for which a person must qualify for membership into the group, other than their work must fit into an exhibition or other project, and they must be willing to participate and help in the realization of that project. So what does that all mean? Well, simply put, everyone is part of Three Cities and no one is Three Cities. The group is writing a history and spawning events through the work of the it's own curatorial processes - which is all part of a work of art called The Three Cities Group. The exhibitions, the interaction with our audience, and the propaganda and artifacts produced from the events it brings into realization, are a collaborative yet singular vision. Three Cities is an artist collective for the postmodern age, without a pure definition and with no clear agenda. We are a product of the imaginations of our audience and our artists. We are the manifestation of the media and propaganda that surrounds our endeavor. Our shows are not about the labels that we apply to them, but instead about the fact that they are even happening at all. The vision for the future of the Three Cities is one that involves everyone we come in contact with. We are writing a history that will effect the future of art by simply making things happen today. We invite you to participate, to interact, to view and to comment. We invite criticism with the same zest as commendation. Please join us in this experiment...
