    This lovely post prohibition beer tray is 13 inches in diameter
    and weighs 1 full pound. It is heavy steel by today's standards (.031 in. thick)

    The outer rim reads "LAURER'S PILSENER BEER"
    On the picture of the bottle and around the bottle are the words:
    THE LAURER BEVERAGE CORP. BINGHAMTON, N.Y.
    That was the name of the brewery when it reopened after prohibition

    Also on the picture of the bottle's label the following is printed:
    "Laurer's LIGHT"
    DOES NOT CONTAIN MORE THAN 4 PER CENTUM OF ALCOHOL BY VOLUME
    PERMIT NO.
    TAX PAID AT THE RATE PRESCRIBED BY INTERNAL REVENUE LAW
    NET CONTENTS NOT LESS THAN 12 FL OZ,
    In very small print below the word BINGHAMTON on the tray
    "N.Y. IMPORTING CO. N.Y." is printed.

    Mr. John Wysocarski of Rochester, NY, a very knowledgeable 'advanced collector' , says "The Bartel's tray is definitely from the 1930's or before".
