Information relating to "U.P.C. reseller" sites that I have not verified for one reason or another.
Mozian & Associates at http://www.mozian.com/upc.html, advertises single bar codes for sale. He gives only a phone number for contact. Since verbal statements are useless when trying to verify any claims and becaue I seldom use the phone due to my hearing impairment, I have not contacted him. Further he says he is a "Member of Uniform Code Council" which at the very least is misleading. If he has been paying dues to GS1 (UCC) he has also signed an agreement not to sell subsets of his prefix. Mozian did contact me via e-mail. I was able to verify the legitimacy of his prefix and the date to my satisfaction. I still have reservations about statemnts made at his site and I am still trying to resolve that issue. In the mean time be very cautious and view his site carefully.
Subdivisions, Inc. at www.eanbarcodes.com. This MAY be the same company as Buy a Barcode but operating under a different name.UPCexpress at www.upcexpress.com , advertises single bar codes for sale. I am aware of this companies site, but repeated e-mails to them about when they acquired their manufacture prefix have not been answered. Therefore approach with caution.
Aurea Media at http://www.aureamedia.com/upc_barcodes.htm, 3516 - 1st Street. N.E. Calgary, Alberta,T2E 3C9. They apparently obtained their manufacture prefix from the Canadian authority (ECCC) and I have no information as to whether or not their contract prohibits subdividing their number. They do not list an e-mail contact and since I have a hearing deficiency, I don't use the phone and could not obtain further information. If anyone learns more, please let me know. In the mean time be careful
