Amazon Pedophile Story

As you may remember, after hearing reports that Amazon was selling a book called "Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers" about which the child protection group, NSPCC expressed significant concern, blogbat was able to find even more compelling and long-term evidence against Amazon. "Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers" reportedly states that child exploiters are not "monsters", according to Sky News. And the reviews by readers of the book are quite telling. One "reviewer" is quoted by Sky News as posting on the Amazon review website, "As a boylover, I found this book extremely helpful."  Yesterday Blogbat learned from sources about several other controversial “photography” books at the Amazon website, depicting youngsters of all ages unclothed and in an inappropriate manner. Blogbat recognizes the art of photography, however as you will read below you will see the particular volumes referenced are in no way consistent with the tone of what is accepted by true photographers as art as opposed to pornographic exploitation.

My Investigations turned up some more interesting information about one of Amazon's popular kiddy porn peddlers. For instance, the FBI raided his home in 1990 and another carrier, Barnes & Noble, was recently indicted in Montgomery Alabama and Franklin Tennessee for selling his books, along with some of a similar "author". Investigations are apparently currently underway in other states. It is not clear whether Amazon was aware of this during this time or not.

When Wal-Mart was recently confronted with the fact it had a similar such book available in its online store, it was quickly removed, according to Worldnet Daily. The Spokesperson went on to say Wal-Mart was sorry for its having slipped past their "family-friendly screening".

So the question we must ask today is whether Amazon is as good as Wal-Mart or if not, why it would suit their interests, economic or social, to make these books available to the general public. Even if all they were selling were "adult-oriented" books instead if sick-er and criminal kiddy porn, would it not still be sensible to post those books in such a way that would prevent underage viewers from seeing their images?

Let's be real here. No one today is trying to keep Amazon from selling seedy material about adults to adults. We unfortunately live today in what those in academia tell us is a pluralistic society in which morons and perverts can make a buck from their base jollies. But, if Amazon is going to get into that "business", first there are some rules they need to follow. These include not selling or making viewable sexual material about minors to anyone or doing likewise by making adult materials available to minors. And make no mistake about it, the people to whom Amazon is selling these books des enfants are predators.

But Amazon goes even further in their commitment in the opposite direction from where reason and good sense meet by not only selling all of the above books and showing their covers which often portray lewd poses of naked people, but by even in many instances letting customers browse some of the photographs contained in those books. Photographs which at times could possibly make a physician blush. And should sound alarm bells in parents.

The photographers whose books appear at the Amazon website, have had their work depicted on their own websites, as I mentioned earlier, in sections sometimes labeled as “erotica” or under the not so subtle “lolita” with external links often pointing to “known” porn sites and porn sites pointing back to them. A virtual web-ring. One has to think that the credibility of those who cry "art" must suffer a bit when they link to and are linked to from porno sites and especially when they describe their own "art" as in the following quote of one of the photographers from an interview, "The truth is that from birth on Homo sapiens is, to one extent or another, a fairly sensual species. There isn't a person alive who doesn't like being caressed. Children masturbate as early as one-and-a-half or one- year old. They do it spontaneously and without any thought that there's anything evil about making themselves feel good. That's a sensual experience in their lives, one that should remain entirely the property of the child, as it were."

As I stated yesterday, at present the names of the photographers will remain withheld from these blog pages. The last thing I want is for some creep to go looking for these guys and get into their stuff. Naturally, Blogbat will make them available to those who legitimately need to know, but I think you see my reasoning at this point in time.

Blogbat thinks (as he realizes most reading this feel) that anyone who hurts a minor in this fashion or in any other way should be shot, plain and simple. In Texas, there used to be a law that required rapists and pedophiles to receive capitol punishment. Not only was this a good deterrent, it also was just. Just for the most basic reason that what these miscreants do is take away the lives of their victims. Often this is doing far worse than killing their prey. For this reason the old Texas law was considered reasonable.

Of course we don't really want to "string-up" the people at Amazon, but I seriously think the attorneys general for the states affected should begin investigation immediately. This type of behavior by a major book seller is both irresponsible and callous, and someone should force them to listen.

On a personal note, Blogbat will stay on this and do what he can to get the attention of those who can do something to put a stop to this and hopes those reading this will do likewise. Research for this has turned up quite a bit of stomach-wrenching material. I would be a liar if I told you it didn't make me completely sick during the course of digging this information up. To be honest, I don't know how police do this day in and day out. We should pay them a lot more than we do. It is like watching your favorite pet being run over by a drunk driver over and over again--that's the only way to describe it. Fortunately, I have done pretty much all I need to make a compelling case against Amazon and these authors to whomever may be concerned. It is now just simply a matter of disseminating that information and getting enough of the right people to act.
