
Important Mail Information and
Regulations
- The maximum dimensions for postcards are 4 ¼" high x
6 " in length.

The minimum dimensions for postcards are 3 ½ " high x 5 " in
length.
- You may
mail 200 pieces or 50 lb. of non-personal mail at nonprofit rates. (Lower rate if
bar-coded).

You may send large envelopes at nonprofit rates. Materials must not be personal,
must have 200 pieces or 50 lb., and weight for each package cannot exceed 16
ounces. All pieces must be identical in weight and size.

You can receive a discount on your First Class Mail if you have a minimum of
500 pieces, and an even greater discount if you put your address list on a
disk.
- Pens, pencils, key rings, bottle caps, and other similar
odd-shaped items are not permitted in letter size or flat-size paper envelopes
unless they are wrapped within the contents of the envelope.
(If not wrapped they may be
mailed in padded envelopes).
- The United States Postal Service (USPS) does not guarantee a morning delivery with Express Mail. (They
guarantee next business afternoon by
12 PM or 3 PM).
- You
must seal all large envelopes. The machine will only seal regular size
envelopes.
- You
must turn all flaps up on regular sized envelopes in order for them to be
sealed.
- Our Courier Mail Service delivers to
all the Technical Colleges, with the exception of Denmark
Tech.
- Sixty-seven 12 oz. pieces will qualify
for bulk mail.
- You will be charged a .12 cent
surcharge if your mail piece is 1 oz. or less and the height
exceeds
6 1/8 inches or length
exceeds 11 ½ inches.
- When sending boxes and cartons via
Courier, they must not exceed 50
lbs. per container.
- Priority Mail 1 lb. rate is
$4.05.
- USPS Express Mail ½ Lb. rate PO to addressee is
$14.40.
- Single-piece card rate is .24
cents.
- The certified fee is $2.40, in
addition to first class postage. The fee for a return receipt is
$1.85.
- You (sender) must pay postage
to return an article if it has been opened.
