TheSky Alignment Star Database
for the

Celestron Ultima 2000



The following screen shots are from version 5 of TheSky. Version 4 is very similar.


The purpose of this database is to have TheSky only
label the 28 stars used to align the Ultima 2000

  1. Begin by downloading the following 5KB file and extracting it to a temporary folder on your hard drive

    alignsdb.zip


  2. Move the ultima2k.sdb and ultima2k.txt files from your temporary folder to thesky\user\sdbs folder (for version 4 it is thesky\database)

  3. Move the ultima2k.sky file from your temporary folder to thesky\user\documents folder (for version 4 simply move it to thesky folder)

  4. Now start TheSky and click on the sky database manager menu

  5. Next click on the add/remove button

  6. Now scroll right until you see the ultima2k.sdb file. Select it then click the add button followed by the ok button

  7. Now you need to activate the database by scrolling down until you see Ultima 2000 alignment list. Click on the square next to it to place a check mark, then click the ok button.

  8. Finally, open the ultima2k.sky file
