Ten commandments for Sunday School Teachers:
- Thou shalt consider it a must and make
every possible effort to be present at all the Church Services.
- Thou shalt set a good example by
separation, by tithing and by working at your job.
- Thou shalt spend much time in study,
prayer and meditation for Sunday School lesson and class members.
- Thou shalt develop drive and concern
and not be dependent on circumstance and other people.
- Give full cooperation to Pastor,
General Superintendent and Department Superintendent in efforts and
programs to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the school or your
department.
- Thou shalt accept goals and standards
and let nothing keep you from victory.
- Thou shalt call the Department
Superintendent or General Superintendent at the earliest convenience to
notify of sickness or problems of absenteeism, and give at least four
weeks notice if you need to resign.
- Thou shalt announce and urge your
class to attend all services, meetings and activities planned for their
benefit.
- Thou shalt visit in the homes of your
students regularly especially when there is sickness or problems.
- Thou shalt lead them to Christ; to a
public profession of faith; to follow Christ in Baptism and enroll them in
a class to be instructed in church obligations.
I will gladly accept this responsibility, and
requirements; of teacher, assistant teacher, or Sunday School worker, and will
set out to please the Lord with my best.
