Interlinear Translation: “For truly when ye ought to be teachers because of the time, again need ye have of one to teach you what are the elements of the beginning of the oracles of God, and have become need having of milk, and not of solid food:”
Strong’s Concordance Translation: “FOR WHEN = a primary particle properly assigning a reason used in argument, explanation or intensification, often with other particles: and, as, because that, but, even, indeed, no doubt, seeing, then, therefore, verily, what, why, yes. FOR THE TIME = a space of time, by extension an individual opportunity, by implication delay, season, space, a while. YE OUGHT = through the idea of accruing, to owe pecuniarily, figuratively to be under obligation, must, should, morally to fail in duty, be bound, be debtor, be due, be guilty, indebted, should, I ought, I wish, i.e. oh that, would to God. TO BE TEACHERS = an instructor, doctor, master, a prolific causative form of a primary verb to learn, to teach in the same broad application. HE HAVE NEED = employment, i.e. an affair, occasion, demand, requirement, or destitution, business, lack, necessary, needful, want.
