BY THE BLOOD = figuratively the juice of grapes, by implication bloodshed, also kindred. OF GOATS = a he-goat as a gnawer, idea of corrosion or wear, the idea of a crunching sound, to gnaw or chew, i.e. genitive to eat. AND CALVES = a shoot, a young bullock. BUT BY HIS OWN = pertaining to self, i.e. one’s own, by implication private or separate, is acquaintance, when they were alone, apart, aside, due, proper. BLOOD = figuratively the juice of grapes, by implication bloodshed, also kindred. HE ENTERED IN = arise, come in, come into, go in through. ONCE = upon one occasion only, at once for all.
