Strong’s Concordance Translation: V7: “IN ALL THINGS = any things, every thing, the whole of things, all manner of things, all means of things, thoroughly things, whatsoever things, the whole of things, whosoever things. SHEWING = to hold near, i.e. present, afford, exhibit, furnish occasion, bring, do, give, keep, minister, offer. THYSELF A PATTERN = a die as struck, i.e. by implication a stamp or scar, by analogy a shape, i.e. a statue, figuratively style or resemblance, specially a sampler, i.e. a model for imitation or instance for warning, fashion, figure, form, manner, print. OF GOOD = beautiful, but chiefly figuratively good, i.e. valuable or virtuous for appearance or use, honest, fair, honest, meet, well worthy. WORKS = to work, toil as an effort or occupation, by implication an act, deed, doing, labour, task. IN DOCTRINE = instruction the function or the information, learning, teaching. SHEWING UNCORRUPTNESS = incorruptibleness, i.e. purity of doctrine, not to rot thoroughly, by implication not to ruin, not decay utterly, figuratively not to pervert, not destroy, not perish. GRAVITY = venerableness, i.e. probity, honesty. SINCERITY = incorruptibility, genitive unending existence, figuratively genuineness, immortality, incorruption.” V8: “SOUND = healthy, i.e. well in body, figuratively true in doctrine, whole. SPEECH = something said including the thought, by implication a topic subject of discourse, also reasoning the faculty or the motive, by extension a computation, account, cause, communication, concerning, doctrine, fame, intent, matter, mouth, preaching, question, reason, reckon, speaker, talk, none of these things move me, tidings, treatise, utterance, word, work. THAT CANNOT BE CONDEMNED = unblameable. THAT HE THAT IS OF THE CONTRARY PART = opposite, figuratively antagonistic, over against. MAY BE ASHAMED = turn position, to invert, i.e. good sense to respect, bad sense to confound, regard, give reverence, shame. HAVING = to hold, possession, ability, contiguity, relation, condition, hold, possessed with, accompany. NO EVIL THING = foul thing, flawy thing, wicked thing. TO SAY OF YOU = to lay forth, i.e. figuratively relate in words usually of a systematic or set discourse, ask, bid, boast, call, describe, give out, name, put forth, saying, shew, speak, tell, utter.
