“Speak The Things Fitting To Sound Doctrine” Titus 2:1:
Interlinear Translation: “But thou speak the things that become sound teaching:”
Strong’s Concordance Translation: “BUT = properly other things, i.e. contrariwise in many relations, and, but even, howbeit, indeed, nay, nevertheless, no, notwithstanding, save, therefore, yea, yet. SPEAK = a prolific form of an otherwise obsolete verb to talk, i.e. utter words, preach, say speak after, talk, tell, utter, lay forth, relate the words usually of systematic or set discourse. THOU THE THINGS = a deed, by implication an affair, by extension an object or material, business, matter, thing, work. WHICH = who, what, that, one, another, the other, some, at which place, i.e. where, wherein, whither, whithersoever. BECOME = a primary verb to tower up, be conspicuous, i.e. by implication to be suitable or proper, is it fit or right, comely. SOUND = to have sound health, i.e. be well in body, figuratively to be uncorrupt, true in doctrine, be in health, be safe and sound, be wholesome. DOCTRINE = instruction the function or the information, learning, teaching.
