Experience:

Listed below are some past projects performed by Computer Bug technicians.
Redundant Servers: Using WindowsNT servers, specialized software and
complex networking, two servers are setup to act as one machine. This is
done in such a way that several components could fail at the same time or an
entire system could fail and the clients connecting to the server would not
notice any difference while the machines can be repaired and maintained. Inside
each machine were multiple hard drives that would keep data backed up in a RAID
5 configuration. While the machine is left on you could take out a damaged
drive and replace it, the data would then be restored on the new hard drive!
Domain Servers: WindowsNT and Windows2000 Professional servers have
been set up as application and file servers.
Business Computer Repair: Both maintaining and repairing office PC's
running multiple applications. These machines have to be set up for
networking across multiple domains. Working with the companies MIS
department to correctly setup the PC's to the companies standards.
Studies: Background and studies in Information Technology at The
University of Queensland and The Queensland University of Technology (Major:
Software Engineering, Minor: Data Communications). Combined with technical
experience in both home and office environments, I have been able to adapt and
diagnose software and hardware related problems.
