As we approach the millennium, mankind is facing its greatest hour of testing. The
spiritual challenge is enormous and the stakes are very high. In the Bride of
Christ, the real church, two phenomena apparently are coming forth. There is
an outpouring and refreshing taking place and also a restoration of the prophetic and
apostolic ministries within the church. God is not going to send Jesus back
for a lukewarm, anemic, back-sliding, and defensive church. The plan of God is to bring
the church to maturity, fill it with His glory, and let it be a light to the nations of
the world.
River Glory and Harvest Glory were apparent at the Ruth Heflin conference center I
attended in Ashland, Virginia, this summer. God has a people who are hungry and thirsty
and want to go deeper into the things of God. For those who seek Him in Spirit and in
truth, there is a river flowing with revelation, anointing, resources, and it comes
directly from the Throne of God. For those that are thirsty enough to
get into God's river, they are finding it is taking them to unusual places.
"There is a River, the streams whereof shall make glad the City of God, the Holy
place of the tabernacles of the Most High. God Himself lives in that city; it cannot be
destroyed. The nations are in an uproar, and kingdoms crumble! God thunders, and the earth
melts." Psalm 46
This river of God can only be known by revelation and no one will ever be able to control
it. You can only present yourself as a willing vessel for its flow! There is a great
liberty in this river! This liberty is demonstrated by the worship of God, the
praise of God, the shout of Victory, the Davidic dance, the blowing of the shofar
horn or trumpet, rejoicing in His presence and prophetic decrees! Joy overwhelming and
peace within comes from the River of God!
Today, we are living in a time when the prophetic ministry is blowing the trumpet of the
Lord to warn that the day of the Lord is fast approaching. The Fall Feast of Tabernacles
is the only festival that has not been fulfilled in spiritual history. Passover,
Firstfruits, and Pentecost have seen their fulfillment in the death of the Lamb of God,
His resurrection on the third day, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit fifty days after
Passover.
But the Fall Festival of Tabernacles, consisting of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and
the seven day Festival of Booths now awaits fulfillment and completion. The Feast of
Tabernacles is also known as the Feast of His Appearing. I believe Trumpets is the
prophetic warning of the soon coming Day of the Lord. The Day of Atonement is
repentance and fasting in the Bride as she enters the Holy of Holies. Tabernacles is the
return of Jesus for His Church, the Bride, to save it from the wrath to come on the earth.
This is the greatest festival of rejoicing in the Jewish calendar - with good reason for
those caught up to be with the Lord Jesus and the saints resurrected from all generations.
"Now on the first day of the Festival of Shelters, after you have harvested all
the produce of the land, you will begin to celebrate this seven day festival
of the Lord." Leviticus 23-39
