The sites of Newfoundland are stark but have a bewildering beauty.

Icebergs in the north of Iceland about 1 hour from Gander. We preached a revival in Gander and met the most wonderful ministry couple who lead the Assembly of God church there. The pictures I took of all of us when we went to the iceberg area  all were blurred and you could not tell who anybody was. I was very disappointed but if I can obtain a picture from them I will post it. They were so excited to show us all of the area. We spend one day doing that and visiting the grandmother of the family.   They also took us to the memorial where the airplane crashed in Newfoundland several years ago and people were killed. It was sad to see but I was glad they took us. I will never forget their hospitality, kindness and the spiritual meetings we had at the Gander church. I would love to return.
We can thank them for getting this picture. We had never seen icebergs before. This was REAL!

The skilifts of Newfoundland, only we were there in the summer so there was no snow.
There is a very modern 4 land highway through this mountain range
with cement barriers in the middle. People travel pretty fast on it.
There was much beautiful overlooks and scenery in Newfoundland.

St. John is the furthermost eastern part of North America and this is Jim standing on the cliffs overlooking the ocean at that point. He is facing the harbor side of the hill.

The harbor of St. John, Newfoundland at night. What a beautiful place.
Our little hotel was located just where I took this picture.
A terrific place to view the harbor and city.

Jim is pointing out where we are at the tip of North America
and the next day we went to the island seen in the distance.

This is worth a visit. It is at the base of the mountain we were
on and is at the edge of the harbor where all the boats pass.
We watched from our hotel on the harbor as some of the
boats came and went with their fishing nets and beautiful
sailboats as well. This is an exciting city and no amount of pictures
can really do it justice. Please go visit.

We actually climbed all the steps and went up to the tower.
We saw whales off the cliffs, jumping up and their tails splashing.
It was a good ways from us, but we could still see them. We were excited.
The only other wild life we saw was one moose in Gander.

Our hostess and the pastor's wife, such a beautiful person,
truly indicative of the friendliness of the people of Newfoundland.
I really love her.Really that is not enough to say about such a friendly,
spiritual and caring person as she is. Pray for their church and for their family
Visit them if you can.

All too soon, the end came and we watched the huge ferry come
to pick us up and take us back across to Nova Scotia from Newfoundland.
It is an overnight trip. It is 600 miles from St. John's back
to the ferry unless you take a 14 hour ferry ride from St. John's.
We decided to do the 600 mile drive again. It all went so fast
and I could show many pictures but I wanted you to see the best and to know
that the people of this land are marvelous people. May God bless them.

After our Newfoundland/ Nova Scotia Trip which we did by car, we returned home for 2 weeks. Then we boarded an airplane for Scotland, Ireland and England and Iceland.  We went into Bristol from Ireland by Ferry but did not have any speaking engagements in England. We visited some of our family there and then returned home from Heathrow  with the one day stop over in Iceland  and then back   to Boston.
